The Courtney circus was run by Anita and Marion's father Albert Courtney.
Anita is no longer performing. Marion still is, and she does an ultra violet
butterfly aerial act with her circus, Circus Berlin, which she set up three
years ago. She has been in the circus all her life and says that her most
embarassing moment was during a double trapeze act with her cousin Jaqueline,
when her costume broke (an occupational hazard) and fell down to her waist.
