Maria was born into circus life. Her father, Antonio Garcia, was a juggler and acrobat, and her mother was Mary Fossett of the Ireland Fossett's circus family. Maria was one of seven Garcia children and started performing at only 2 years old with Fossett's in Ireland. In her career she has performed a trampoline act, a perch act, a swing act, high aerial trapeze, and acrobatics. Maria and her siblings are all still performing, and have worked in Arabia, Africa, Japan, and also throughout Europe.
